eSign PDF – Sign PDF Online Free with Your Signature

Draw, type or upload your signature and sign any PDF page — initials, date, text & checkmarks · 100% client-side, fast & private

Loading the PDF signer…

Processed locally in your browser. Closing this tab clears everything.

Sign a PDF online for free without creating an account or uploading the file. Create your signature by drawing it with a smooth pen (mouse, finger or stylus), typing your name in one of seven handwriting fonts, or uploading a photo of your signature — the white paper is removed automatically. Add initials, today's date, text, checkmarks and crosses, place them on any page, move and resize them, copy initials to every page, and download a flattened signed PDF. You can keep your signature in this browser for next time. This is a simple electronic signature (an image of your signature), not a certificate-based digital signature.

Sign PDF documents online — draw, type or upload

Draw a smooth, pressure-friendly signature with your mouse, finger or Apple Pencil, type it in Great Vibes, Allura, Sacramento and other handwriting fonts, or upload a photo of your real signature with the white background removed automatically. Then place it exactly where it belongs — the signature line of a contract, an offer letter, a lease or a school form.

Initials, dates, text and checkmarks on any page

Contracts often need initials on every page, a date next to the signature and ticks in boxes. Add each item with one click, resize it, nudge it with the arrow keys, and copy initials to all pages. When you download, every item is flattened into the PDF so it looks the same in every viewer and printer.

Simple electronic signature — honest about what it is

This free PDF signer produces a simple electronic signature. It does not create a certificate-based digital signature, it does not verify your identity, and it offers no stamps or seals. For documents that require a qualified or certified digital signature, use a provider licensed for that.

  1. Choose the PDF you want to sign
  2. Create your signature — draw, type or upload a photo of it
  3. Add it (plus initials, date, text or ✓) and drag each item into place on any page
  4. Download the signed PDF — everything is flattened into the pages

  • Use “All pages” on your initials to initial every page of a contract in one click.
  • Upload a photo of your pen signature on white paper for the most natural look; raise the strength slider if grey paper shows.
  • Tick “Remember on this device” to reuse your signature next time — it is stored only in this browser.
  • This is a simple electronic signature: an image of your signature flattened into the page. It is not a certified (PKI) digital signature and does not verify identity or lock the document against changes. Password-protected PDFs must be unlocked first. Some documents (court, land, tax and many government filings) may require a wet-ink or certified digital signature.

How do I sign a PDF online for free?

Open the PDF here, press Create signature, draw or type your name (or upload a photo of your signature), then drag it to the signature line and press Download signed PDF. There is no account, watermark or upload.

Is this a legally valid electronic signature?

It creates a simple electronic signature — an image of your signature placed on the document. Laws such as the US ESIGN Act and the EU eIDAS regulation accept simple e-signatures for many everyday agreements. Nepal's Electronic Transactions Act 2063 gives legal effect specifically to certificate-based digital signatures, so for official filings in Nepal a signature image is usually only accepted if the recipient agrees. This tool adds no certificate, identity check or tamper seal — check what the recipient requires. This is not legal advice.

What is the difference between an e-signature and a digital signature?

A simple e-signature is a mark that shows you agreed, such as your signature image. A digital signature uses a certificate (PKI) to prove who signed and to detect later changes; it needs a certificate from a trusted provider and software that can apply it. DocSample provides the first kind only.

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. The PDF is opened, signed and saved inside your browser. Saved signatures stay in this browser's local storage and you can delete them any time.

Can I add a date, text or a checkmark?

Yes. Add today's date in the format you choose, any text (names, addresses, ‘Approved’), checkmarks and crosses, on any page, as many as you need.

Can I sign every page or several places?

Yes. Add as many signatures, initials and fields as you like on any page; select an item and press ‘All pages’ to copy it to every page.

Can others edit my signature after I download?

The items are flattened into the page content, so they are no longer separate movable fields. But a flattened image can still be copied by anyone who has the file — share signed documents only with people you trust.
