Make a passport size photo at home for free. Choose Nepal passport or PP size (35×45 mm), Nepal citizenship (2.5×3 cm), the Lok Sewa (PSC) online form photo with its KB limit, US visa and DV lottery (2×2 in, 600×600 px), Schengen, UAE, India, Canada, UK, Australia or any custom size. On-device AI finds your head, centres it on the official head-size and eye-line guides and can change the background to white, light blue or another allowed colour. Fine-tune with zoom, straighten, brightness and contrast, then download one JPG at the exact pixel size, DPI and file size, or a 4×6 in / A4 print sheet with cut lines as JPG or PDF. Your photo never leaves your device.

Passport size photo maker for Nepal: PP size, citizenship and Lok Sewa

Most Nepali forms ask for a PP size photo of 35×45 mm, the citizenship certificate asks for 2.5×3 cm with both ears visible, and the Lok Sewa Aayog online application wants a small JPG under 200 KB. Pick the preset and the size, head position and file size are set for you — no Photoshop and no studio visit needed for a quick form photo.

Head-size and eye-line guides from the official rules

Every preset carries the measurements published by the authority — for example the US 50–69% head height and 56–69% eye line, the ICAO 32–36 mm face for Schengen and Australia, or India's 630×810 px with the face at 80–85% — plus a link to the official page. The live guides show exactly where your crown, chin and eyes should be.

Print sheets with cut lines, or one exact-size JPG

Download a single JPG at the exact pixel size with the print DPI written into the file and the quality tuned to stay under the KB limit, or put 8 copies on 4×6 in photo paper (or a full A4 sheet) with dashed cut lines, ready for any print shop.

  1. Pick the photo type (Nepal PP size, citizenship, Lok Sewa, US visa, Schengen…)
  2. Upload a front-facing photo with your shoulders visible
  3. Press Auto-fit face & background, then fine-tune with drag, zoom and straighten
  4. Download the JPG (exact size and KB) or a 4×6 in / A4 print sheet with cut lines

  • Stand about 1–1.5 m from the camera, at eye level, facing a window or soft light, against a plain light wall.
  • Keep a neutral expression, mouth closed, both ears visible, no tinted glasses, no shadows on your face.
  • When printing the sheet, choose “Actual size / 100%” — “Fit to page” changes the size of every photo.
  • DocSample is not a government service and cannot guarantee that any office accepts a photo: lighting, expression, glasses, shadows and how recent the photo is still matter. Some authorities (for example Canada, the UK, India and Australia) do not accept photos edited by software, so use crop and resize only for them. Automatic head detection is a guide — always check the result against the lines. The AI model (25–44 MB) downloads once on first use.

What is the PP size photo size in Nepal?

PP (passport) size in Nepal is 35×45 mm (3.5×4.5 cm). Nepal's Passport Regulation 2077 lists 35×45 mm with a plain light background and the face covering 70–80% of the photo. Citizenship (नागरिकता) photos are 2.5×3 cm with both ears visible and a background that is not red.

What photo size does the Lok Sewa (PSC) online form need?

Applicant guides for psconline.psc.gov.np report a JPG of about 300×350 pixels between 10 and 200 KB with a white background. Choose the Lok Sewa preset and the tool keeps the file inside that limit. Always check your advertisement, because limits can change.

Do I need a photo for the Nepal e-passport?

Applicants aged 5 and over are photographed live at the passport office or embassy. Children under 5 need a 35×45 mm photo with a white background — use the Nepal passport preset and print the sheet.

Can I make a US visa 2×2 photo for the DS-160 or DV lottery?

Yes. The US preset makes a 600×600 px JPG under 240 KB with the head at 50–69% of the height and eye-line guides at 56–69% from the bottom, as the State Department asks. Glasses are not allowed in US visa photos.

Can it change the background to white?

Yes. On-device AI separates you from the background and replaces it with white, off-white, light grey, light blue, blue or red (only the colours that suit the chosen photo type are shown). For offices that forbid edited photos, take the photo against a plain light wall instead.

How many passport photos fit on a 4×6 photo print?

Eight 35×45 mm photos fit on a 4×6 in (10×15 cm) print, and around 30 on A4. The sheet has dashed cut lines and is saved at 300 DPI as JPG or PDF.

Is my photo uploaded to a server?

No. Cropping, background removal and file creation all run in your browser. The AI model is downloaded once and cached; your photo is never sent anywhere.

Will my photo be accepted?

We follow the official measurements, but acceptance is always decided by the office you apply to. Good light, a neutral expression, a recent photo and following their latest instructions matter as much as the size.
