This free label maker designs and prints labels on standard sheets and thermal printers, right in your browser. Make address labels and return address labels, shipping labels with From/To blocks, a tracking barcode and optional QR code, product and price labels with EAN-13, UPC or Code 128 barcodes, name badges, file folder labels and round stickers. Choose an address label template compatible with Avery® 5160 (30 per sheet), 5163, 5164, 5167, 22807 round, or A4 L7160, L7163, L7162, L7165 and L7651 — or a 4 × 6 in / 100 × 150 mm thermal shipping label maker layout and 2 × 1 in labels — or set a custom grid. Import a CSV or Excel list for mail merge, skip used labels on a partial sheet, calibrate printer alignment, and download a print-accurate PDF at exact size or a 300 DPI PNG.
Avery 5160 template and other address label templates
Avery® 5160-compatible labels are the most popular US address labels: 30 per Letter sheet, 2⅝ × 1 in, three columns of ten. In A4 countries, L7160 (21 per sheet, 63.5 × 38.1 mm) and L7163 (14 per sheet, 99.1 × 38.1 mm) are the equivalents. Every template here uses the published page margins and pitch, and the PDF places each label at its exact millimetre position — no scaling, no guessing in Word.
Shipping label maker for 4×6 thermal printers and sheets
Make clear shipping labels with a coloured service band, From and Ship To blocks, order reference, a Code 128 tracking barcode and an optional QR code linking to your tracking page. Print on 4 × 6 in or 100 × 150 mm thermal labels, or two per sheet on 5163/5164 and L7165. Labels are generated as a PDF that thermal printers print at exact size.
Mail merge address labels from Excel — free, no sign-up
Import a spreadsheet (CSV, TSV or .xlsx), match columns such as Name, Address, City and Postcode, and the label maker creates one label per row across as many sheets as needed. Start at any position to use up partial sheets. The list stays in your browser — nothing is uploaded — and there is no account, watermark or label limit beyond 3,000 per PDF. Need standalone codes? Try the free QR code generator and free barcode generator.
- Choose your label sheet (e.g. Avery® 5160-compatible, L7160) or a thermal 4 × 6 in label, or enter a custom size
- Pick the label type — address, return address, shipping, product/price, name badge, folder or sticker — and type the text
- Style it: company colour, logo, text size, alignment, border; add a barcode or QR code where available
- Optional: import a CSV/Excel list (one label per row) and check the column matching
- Click the first empty label if you are reusing a partly used sheet
- Download the PDF, print at 100% / Actual size — use the alignment test and offset if your printer shifts slightly
- Always print one test sheet on plain paper and hold it over the label sheet against a window.
- Turn off ‘Fit to page’ and ‘Scale’ in the print dialog; choose the same paper size as the sheet.
- Download the CSV template to see the column headers the mail merge recognises.
- For thermal printers, set the label size in the printer driver to match (e.g. 4 × 6 in).
- Print at 100% / Actual size on the matching paper — printers differ slightly, so use the alignment test and offset if needed. Text uses Helvetica, so non-Latin scripts (e.g. Devanagari) print as “?”. Up to 3,000 labels per PDF. This tool does not buy carrier postage.
Is this label maker free?
Yes. Design, mail-merge and print as many labels as you need with no account, no watermark on labels and no paid tier. Everything runs in your browser — your address list never leaves your device.
Does it work with Avery 5160 labels?
Yes. Choose ‘Avery® 5160 compatible’: 30 labels per US Letter sheet, 2⅝ × 1 in, 3 across and 10 down, ½ in top margin and 3/16 in side margin (the same layout as 5260, 5960, 8160 and 8460). A4 users can choose L7160 (21 per sheet), L7163 (14), L7162 (16), L7165 (8) or L7651 (65).
How do I print address labels from Excel or a spreadsheet?
Click Import CSV / Excel, choose your file and check that each label field is matched to the right column (we auto-match common headers like Name, Address, City and Postcode). Every row becomes one label. Then download the PDF and print at 100% / Actual size.
How do I use a partly used label sheet?
Click the first empty label in the start-position grid (or type the label number). Printing starts there, so the used labels are skipped and nothing is wasted.
My labels print slightly off — how do I fix it?
First make sure the print dialog is set to Actual size / 100% and the paper size matches the sheet. Print the alignment test page on plain paper, hold it over a label sheet against the light, then enter the shift in millimetres (for example 1 mm right, −0.5 mm up). The offset is remembered in this browser.
Can I make 4 × 6 shipping labels for a thermal printer?
Yes. Choose ‘Thermal 4 × 6 in’ (or 100 × 150 mm) — each label is its own page, with From/To addresses, a Code 128 tracking barcode and an optional QR code. Set the same paper size in your Zebra, Rollo, MUNBYN or DYMO driver and print at 100%. Note: this makes your own labels; carrier postage labels must still be bought from the carrier.
